When you were in elementary school, maybe it wasn't the greatest sign if the principal knew your name. But at Linfield, not only does Mrs. Molstre know each student, she knows their favorite subject, their interests, and even how things are going at home. She has a unique relationship with her kids, one that is clearly illustrated every Monday morning during "Pancakes with the Principal."

After being nominated by teachers for a variety of accomplishments (like showing growth in a subject area or demonstrating kindness to others), students are invited to have breakfast in the principal's office. Instead of simply handing out reward certificates, however, Mrs. Molstre sits among them, asking questions about their lives and celebrating their individual successes. Students go back to class knowing that their principal is proud of them and that they are loved and valued as individuals.
