Everyone reads. That's the important message of the annual Linfield Reads event, a special morning designed to foster a love of books and encourage lifelong literacy among our students. On this day, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, special guests, and students bring blankets, chairs, and books on campus, and everyone sits down to read for fifteen uninterrupted minutes. Huddled together in groups or spread out on their own, kids retreat into the pages of adventure stories, mysteries, biographies, and picture books and are reminded that reading is fun...at every age. The only problem? They might have to wait until recess to find out what happens in the next chapter!
